The necessity of knowledge at different levels is highlighted, with 68% considering it necessary at the Management Level, 65% at the Strategic Level, 58% at the Technical Level, and only 29% at the Operational Level. This underscores the need for more education and training, particularly in Automation for the Green Transition at Management and Strategic Level.Future Work NeedsLooking towards 2030, respondents indicated the most and least necessary sub-areas for future work:%uf0a7 Most Necessary Sub-Areas: Energy Management Systems, Environmental Safety, Environmental Pollution, Renewable Energy, and Energy Efficiency.%uf0a7 Least Necessary Sub-Areas: Ammonia, Methanol, and Hydrogen.There is significant uncertainty about the future need for knowledge in Alternative Fuels, with 40% of respondents unsure about the necessity of knowledge in Ammonia and Methanol.Respondents emphasized the need for training to be specific to port activities and updated on legal requirements from international institutions (e.g., IMO, EU). They also noted the importance of incorporating New Fuels like LNG or Nuclear Energy, and Automation combined with Energy Efficiency. Training methodologies should include modern tools such as Virtual Reality, Digital Models, Augmented Reality, And Simulators.Respondents identified key job roles likely to be in demand by 2030, particularly in technical areas related to Decarbonization, Alternative Fuels, Environmental Protection, And Automation/Digitalization to support the Green Transition. Management roles related to sustainability will also be crucial.
