TRAINING METHODOLOGYTRAINING COURSE OBJECTIVESThe objective of BLUE PORTS courses is developing specialised knowledge and skills related to sustainable port management and operations. Participants will be offered a comprehensive overview of green technologies necessary to support the energy transition of ports and provided with training in operations and management.The two different courses target the training needs of port managers, Port Sustainability Adviser/Officer(PSAdviser/Officer) and port technical and operational staff, Port Sustainability Operator (PSOperator).The management workforce, core target of the Port Sustainability Adviser/Officer course, will acquire the knowledge to participate in teams that assess, implement, manage, and monitor green transition strategies, plans, roadmaps and drive sustainability initiatives within European small and medium-sized ports. They will be able to develop specialised knowledge and skills related to sustainable port management, ensuring a broad understanding of sustainability principles and how they shall be applied to the port environment.The technical and operational workforce, core target of the Port Sustainability Operator coursewill acquire the knowledge to technically and operationally support the application and operation of new technologies, practices and tools related to the port green transition, such as cold ironing, electric mobility, alternative fuels and waste management.The overarching objectives specific to each course are listed belo
