BLUE PORTS | D2.6 State of the art report on the BLUE-PORTS common training methodology 11DURATIONThe course is expected to have an indicative duration of 85 hours for the PSAdviser/Officerprofile and 94 hours for the PSOperator profile, for a total course duration of 8-10 weeks.As a feasible duration of synchronous training for trainees, it is recommended to have two (2) sessions per week, each of three (3) hours.ENTRY REQUIREMENTSThe course is designed for managers and operational staff working in port operations and ports management.The training course will be offered in two sub-schemes addressed to the following staff categories: %u2022 Management workforce (white collar), e. g., executives, managers, administrators, etc.(Port Sustainability Adviser/Officer)%u2022 Technical and operational staff, e.g., technicians, engineers, labourers, operators, etc.(Port Sustainability Operator).Port Sustainability Adviser/Officer training course is open to individuals holding: %u2022 Higher education degree (EQF 6 and above) in marine/maritime studies or relevant STEM studies (technology, engineering) or management/administration/economic studies and over one year of working experience in port management, or%u2022 Higher education degree (EQF 6 and above) and over three years of working experience in port management.Port Sustainability Operator training course is open to individuals holding: %u2022 Technical school degree (EQF 4 or 5 and above) in marine/maritime studies or technology, engineering and over one year of working experience in port technical operations, or%u2022 Compulsory education degree (EQF 2 and above) and over three years of working experience in port technical operations.Candidates must have basic computer literacy to participate in the training program and complete the exam, both of which are conducted entirely in virtual environments. CRITERIA FOR SELECTING TRAINING PROVIDERS/ TRAINERSAppropriate training providers were identified in each participating country considering their expertise on blue economy topics, experience in trainings, knowledge of the port sector, and potential interest and involvement in the BLUE PORTS project (see D2.1 BLUE PORTS baseline report).
