By engaging employers and employees directly involved in port operations, as well as market key actors who influence industry trends and potential trainees interested in advancing their skills, the survey gathered valuable insights into the current state and future needs of the workforce. This diverse participation also fostered collaboration and buy-in from stakeholders, ensuring that the resulting training and certification programs are relevant, practical, and effectively address the industry's evolving demands.2.1.2. MARKET SURVEY FORMAT AND STRUCTUREThe survey has been administered using Google Forms to ensure ease of access and efficient data collection and has been structured into four (4) key sections to capture a broad range of information. The market survey questionnaire can be found in ANNEX I.The first section, General Information, collects demographic, organizational details educational level details of the respondents. This sets the context for the subsequent sections. The Current Education/Training section provides educational backgrounds and qualifications insights into the existing knowledge base within the port industry in relation to the study areas of the BLUE PORTS project. The Current Work Needs section identifies the present green skill requirements and gaps, highlighting areas where additional training is needed. The Future Needs section assesses anticipated skills, qualifications and jobs necessary for sustainable growth by 2030. This forward-looking section ensures that the training programs developed are not only relevant for today but also for future industry demands.The survey was designed to be completed within 15 minutes, whereas each participating country aimed to gather 40+ responses, including both employers and employees.2.1.3. MARKET SURVEY IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGYTranslation and localization: The survey has been conducted in EU and non%u2013EU countries, inGeorgia, Greece, Italy, Spain, each with its own language and cultural nuances. To address this, each project partner was responsible for translating the questionnaire into their respective national languages, to ensure comprehension by participants and adaptation to national context. Localization went beyond mere translation; it involved adapting the survey content to resonate with the local context, ensuring cultural relevance and clarity. This increased the likelihood of obtaining meaningful and accurate responses. Data collection and homogenization: Once the survey responses were collected, each partner country compiled the data in a standardized format for maintaining data integrity and ensuring all responses was consistent and could be analysed collectively. Each partner was tasked with translating the responses back into English to ensure consistency and comparability across different regions. The translated data was then sent to FV (the task coordinating entity) for a comprehensive analysis across all participating countries.
