BLUE PORTS | D2.5 Identification of present and future skills needs 213. SYNTHESIS OF MARKET SURVEYS AND FORESIGHT EXERCISE FINDINGSMARKET SURVEY RESULTSThis section develops the analysis of the survey responses. It is structured in four subsections: the first on demographic data of the survey respondents, the second on the current level of knowledge in energy transition areas, the third on current knowledge needs in energy transition areas, and the fourth on future needs. A fifth section summarizes the key conclusions.Sections 2, 3 and 4 of the survey organize the contents related to the energy transition and the Blue Economy in ports into six thematic areas. Each of these areas is divided into sub-areas with the following structure:Table 1.Thematic areas and sub-areas of the energy transition and the Blue Economy in portsClimate change Mitigation AdaptationEnergy transition Renewable energy Energy efficiency Electrification (OPS, machinery, vehicles, etc.) Energy storageAlternative fuels Biofuels Hydrogen Ammonia MethanolCircular Economy End-of-life Waste valorisation Zero WasteEnvironmental protection Environmental pollution: Environmental pollution (noise and air and water quality standards/protocols, monitoring,%u2026) Environmental safety (contingency and mitigation plans and strategies against accidents,%u2026) Carbon footprint (methodologies measurement, reduction and compensation, carbon credits) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)Digitalization / Automation for Green Transition Energy management systems Artificial Intelligence (AI) for energy optimization
